Program Description
You will visit the Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi and embark on a fascinating journey through 300,000 years of history, culture and innovation of the United Arab Emirates. This is a place that allows you to better understand the country’s identity – from ancient civilisations to its dynamic modern era.
As you explore, you will discover six contemporary themed galleries presenting archaeological artefacts, works of art and multimedia exhibitions illustrating the development of the region. You will learn how Emirati traditions were shaped, uncover stories of desert communities and view exhibits dating back to the earliest periods of human history. Interactive installations bring the past to life, creating an engaging experience for both adults and younger visitors.
A walk through Al Masar Garden offers a peaceful moment surrounded by thoughtfully designed greenery symbolising the nation’s journey. From the outside, the museum’s striking falcon-inspired towers immediately capture attention – a tribute to one of the most important symbols of Emirati heritage. Rising above the Saadiyat Cultural District, they highlight the importance of this area as a leading centre of culture and art in the region.
At the museum, you may also take part in family workshops, enjoy educational spaces and sample traditional Emirati cuisine, adding a culinary dimension to your cultural experience. Admission includes access to all visitor areas, allowing you to explore the exhibitions at your own pace and focus on what interests you most.
