Program Description
Discover the traditional art of preparing Turkish coffee during a unique workshop in Istanbul. This experience combines history, culture and flavour, offering insight into one of Turkey's most iconic traditions.
During the session, you will learn the traditional sand-brewing method, which dates back to the times of the Ottoman Empire. Using a copper pot called a cezve, you will see how coffee is slowly brewed on heated sand to create its rich aroma and distinctive taste.
You will also discover the cultural stories and traditions behind Turkish coffee and learn about its importance in everyday life. At the end of the workshop, enjoy a freshly prepared cup of aromatic coffee and experience the atmosphere of this centuries-old tradition.
