Program Description
Set off on a journey through southern Tunisia and discover places where Berber culture, history and famous film locations come together.
Your adventure begins with a drive across the historic Roman causeway linking Djerba with the Tunisian mainland. The first stop is Medenine, where you will see the distinctive ghorfas – former fortified granaries that are among the region's most characteristic landmarks.
The tour continues to Tataouine, where you will visit the local market and experience the atmosphere of one of southern Tunisia's best-known towns. Next, you will explore the Berber village of Chenini, renowned for its traditional craftsmanship and picturesque setting.
After dinner, you will visit Ksar Hadada, a historic fortified granary that became famous as one of the filming locations for the Star Wars movies. After the visit, you will return to Djerba.
