Program Description
Discover one of the most spectacular walking routes in Andalusia, where nature and history come together in a truly unique way. Caminito del Rey from Seville is a perfect choice if you are looking to combine active sightseeing with breathtaking views and explore some of the region’s most remarkable locations.
The tour begins in Seville, from where you will travel towards Ardales - the starting point of the famous Caminito del Rey trail. The route leads through scenic landscapes all the way to El Chorro. The most impressive section runs along vertical cliff walls, approximately 100 metres above the Guadalhorce River, offering unforgettable views and a real sense of adventure. Along the way, you will admire dramatic rock formations, the famous Gaitanes and Gaitanejo gorges, as well as the turquoise waters of the Guadalhorce-Guadalteba reservoir.
The history of this trail dates back to 1921, when King Alfonso XIII walked along it during the inauguration of the Conde de Guadalhorce dam. For many years, Caminito del Rey was considered one of the most dangerous trails in Europe, but after a complete renovation in 2014, it is now fully safe and accessible to visitors.
After completing the trek, you will visit Osuna - an elegant historic town located about an hour from Seville. As you stroll through its streets, you will discover impressive architecture and locations that have been used as film sets on numerous occasions. It is a calm yet fascinating way to end a day full of experiences.
Good physical condition is required. Comfortable clothing and appropriate trekking footwear are recommended to ensure a pleasant walk.
The order of visits and the programme may change.
