Program Description
A sweet journey into a world of tradition and flavours awaits you, offering a chance to discover the history behind some of Spain’s most iconic treats. This experience is perfect for lovers of sweets, culinary culture, and local stories hidden within recipes passed down through generations.
During your visit, you will immerse yourself in the history of nougat and chocolate, which have played an essential role in Catalan tradition for centuries. The museum is entirely dedicated to the Torrons Vicens brand, so from the very beginning, you will explore its story, philosophy, and the path it followed from a family workshop to one of Spain’s most respected confectionery brands. You will learn, clearly and engagingly, how recipes have evolved and how tradition blends here with a modern approach to flavour.
You will see historic tools and machines once used in the production of artisanal nougat, as well as a unique reconstruction of the Vicens family's 1933 confectionery workshop. It is a living lesson of history dating back to the 18th century, showing how vital nougat was to local culture.
As you continue, you will discover how the brand continues to evolve by working with renowned chefs and giving classic flavours a modern twist without losing their authenticity. The visit concludes with a tasting of selected nougats and chocolates. This is where history meets flavour, and you can take home sweet memories from Barcelona.
