Program Description

Fátima is one of the world's most important pilgrimage destinations, attracting visitors seeking spiritual experiences, history and Portuguese cultural heritage. This tour offers the opportunity to explore the places connected with the Marian apparitions of 1917 and discover the everyday lives of the three shepherd children whose story made Fátima famous throughout the world.

The highlight of the day is a visit to the renowned Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima. You will explore the monumental Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, where the tombs of Lúcia, Jacinta and Francisco are located - the three shepherd children who witnessed the apparitions of the Virgin Mary. You will also visit the modern Basilica of the Holy Trinity and the peaceful Chapel of the Apparitions, built on the exact site where the apparitions are believed to have taken place in 1917. The sanctuary provides a unique atmosphere for reflection, prayer and learning about the history of one of Europe's most significant Marian shrines.

The journey continues to Aljustrel, the small village where Lúcia, Jacinta and Francisco were born and raised. Walking through its quiet streets offers a glimpse into the simple lives of the shepherd children and the realities of rural Portugal at the beginning of the 20th century. You will visit their family homes and gain a deeper understanding of the events that transformed Fátima into one of the world's most important pilgrimage sites.

The programme is carefully designed to provide time for personal reflection while offering valuable insights into the history, traditions and religious significance of this remarkable destination. It is a journey that combines spiritual heritage, local history and Portuguese culture, attracting pilgrims and visitors from around the world each year.

The order of sightseeing and the programme may be subject to change.

The tour is organized subject to a minimum number of participants (min. 20 pax).

*The tour is not recommended for people with disabilities or reduced mobility.
