Pickup times and the excursion program during Ramadan (17.02.2026 - 19.03.2026) and Eid holidays (20.02.2026 - 23.02.2026) are subject to change. During Ramadan, consumption of food and drinks in open and non-designated areas is to be avoided. During the tour, clothing must cover shoulders, upper arms, and knees. Tight or revealing outfits are not recommended.

A great opportunity to get to know the culture and people of Oman. Beautiful landscapes combined with the opportunity to have a free and all-day conversation with a local 4x4 driver was a great experience. However, the time spent in the desert could have been longer by at least one hour!
The trip was generally good, but: 1. No one wrote that the drive to the destination is almost 200 km. 2. We were traveling with an older driver who spoke very little English, so most of the way we either talked to each other or were silent because asking the driver questions made no sense. 3. The so-called lost city of Ubar described colorfully in the description of the trip is really a bit of rubble for a 5-minute tour and a swarm of flies that none of the participants have ever seen. 4. Mr. Damian was poorly oriented and his stories were not very interesting - and we have comparisons from other trips where the guides were really great. 5. From the dune drive, there was an ascent to 2 dunes which took 5 minutes, the rest was a drive on a flat desert.
