Program Description
Discover Muscat from a different perspective, starting your tour in the afternoon and continuing into the evening. This is an ideal option if you want to see the city’s top attractions in a short time while experiencing how its atmosphere changes after sunset.
Your tour begins with a transfer from your hotel towards the city. Along the way, your guide will introduce you to Muscat’s history and modern character, giving you a better understanding of the places you will visit.
Your first stop will be the Muttrah Corniche - a scenic waterfront promenade overlooking the harbour and surrounding mountains. A walk along the coast allows you to experience the everyday rhythm of this part of the city. You will then visit Muttrah Souq, one of the most famous markets in Oman, where you will have free time to browse, shop and discover local products and aromatic spices.
The programme also includes stops at the city’s most iconic landmarks. You will see the Royal Opera House Muscat from the outside - a symbol of Oman’s modern architecture. Next, you will stop at Al Alam Palace, the ceremonial residence of the Sultan, known for its distinctive and colourful façade. You will also admire the impressive Al Jalali and Al Mirani Forts, located on both sides of the bay - their strategic position has protected the harbour for centuries and remains a defining feature of Muscat’s landscape.
You will also stop at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque - one of the most important religious sites in Oman, renowned for its harmonious architecture and one of the largest hand-woven carpets in the world. In the evening, the mosque is beautifully illuminated, highlighting its elegant details.
At the end of the tour, you will visit the Mall of Oman - one of the largest shopping centres in the country, offering a wide selection of shops, restaurants and cafés. It is the perfect place to relax or enjoy dinner before returning to your hotel.
The order of visits and the programme may be subject to change.

Reviews
The trip was fun, quick and to the point. After lunch, we drove to Muscat and saw the main sights. There was time at the market to buy spices, scarves, and more. A small drawback was the excessive time spent in the shopping mall.
