Program Description
Discover Essaouira, a unique coastal city on the Atlantic Ocean, also known as Mogador. This charming destination combines Portuguese heritage, local culture and the authentic atmosphere of a traditional Moroccan medina.
Travel along a scenic route overlooking the Atlantic coastline. On the way, stop at Tamri Beach and have the opportunity to spot the famous "Flying Goats", known for climbing argan trees. The journey also includes a visit to an argan cooperative, where you can learn about traditional methods of producing the highly valued argan oil.
Upon arrival in Essaouira, explore the city's most important landmarks, including the historic city walls, the Dutch Cannon from 1744, the Genoese-built citadel near the harbour and the impressive fortifications surrounding the medina. You will also visit the famous Harbour Scala, one of the city's most recognisable coastal landmarks.
During your time in Essaouira, you will explore the traditional souk and historic medina, where you can experience the authentic atmosphere of the city, discover local products and observe everyday life in this charming Moroccan destination.
Before returning to Agadir, there will be time to enjoy a meal featuring local flavours and relax while taking in the unique atmosphere of this Atlantic coastal city.
