Program Description

Discover the authentic side of Sardinia, where tradition blends with everyday life and local flavours create a truly memorable experience. You will immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Barbagia region and explore its most fascinating highlights.

Your journey begins at the renowned Cantine di Orgosolo winery, where you will taste three types of local wine. During the tasting, the producers themselves will share stories and insights, introducing you to native grape varieties and the winemaking traditions of this unique area.

Next, you will head to Orgosolo - a mountain village located over 600 metres above sea level. While walking with your guide, you will discover its famous murals, created since the 1970s by local and international artists. These artworks are not only visually striking, but also tell stories about social issues and the identity of the local community.

Another highlight of the day is a traditional open-air dinner, prepared by Sardinian shepherds. Surrounded by nature, you will enjoy regional specialities such as meats, cheeses, boiled sheep with potatoes, roasted pork and local bread. The experience is perfectly complemented by a glass of full-bodied cannonau wine.

To end the day, you will experience a unique element of Sardinian heritage - a performance of “Canto a Tenore”, an ancient polyphonic singing tradition recognised by UNESCO. The four voices, inspired by the sounds of nature, create a powerful harmony, accompanied by the traditional “ballu tundu” dance, symbolising community and unity.

Soft drinks are available for non-drinkers and children, so everyone can fully enjoy the experience.

A fantastic trip in several respects. You can learn how the native Sardinians live, how they feed on the bounty of the land, how they sing and dance. You can admire the extraordinary murals in Orgosolo. A visit to a winery, where you can taste and purchase wine, was also very interesting. I recommend it 100%.
