Program Description
The Aeolian Islands are a place where the raw power of nature meets the atmosphere of southern Italy. During this boat trip, You will visit three unique islands of the archipelago, admire the active volcano of Stromboli and discover the picturesque beauty of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
After hotel pick-up, You will travel to the port of Tropea, where the cruise towards the first island - Lipari - begins. As the largest island of the archipelago, Lipari is full of Mediterranean charm and scenic coastal views. During your free time, You can stroll through its narrow streets, visit the Church of Saint Bartholomew or admire the castle overlooking the town. The island’s relaxed atmosphere, colourful fishing boats and volcanic scenery make it one of the highlights of the Aeolian Islands.
The journey continues to Panarea - the smallest and one of the most exclusive islands in the archipelago. During a guided walk, You will explore its charming streets lined with boutiques, cafés and restaurants. Whitewashed houses, blooming bougainvillea and peaceful surroundings create a unique Mediterranean atmosphere for which Panarea is famous.
The next stop will be Stromboli, home to one of Europe’s most active volcanoes. On the island, You will see the characteristic black sand beaches and the picturesque village of San Vincenzo. There will be free time to enjoy a walk, have dinner or simply relax while admiring the volcanic scenery.
After leaving Stromboli, the boat will sail around Strombolicchio - a dramatic volcanic rock rising from the sea. The cruise will then continue near the volcano itself, giving You the chance to admire one of the most breathtaking landscapes of the Aeolian Islands, especially as the island reveals its unique atmosphere after sunset.
Return to the port of Tropea and transfer back to the hotel are planned in the evening.

Important information
For guests staying at Hotel Solemare and Hotel BV Kalafiorita, a shuttle service will be organised from the hotel reception to the main bus pick-up point. Please be at the reception 20 minutes before the excursion departure time.
The shuttle service is provided for the outbound journey only. After the excursion, the return to the hotel will be on foot, as the route back is downhill.
