Program Description

An unforgettable journey to East Java, where you will discover one of the world’s most unique natural phenomena – the Blue Fire of Ijen Volcano. This experience is perfect if you are looking for breathtaking views, close contact with nature and a true sense of adventure.

On the first day, you will be picked up from your hotel and begin your journey across the island towards Banyuwangi. Along the way, you will take a ferry to Ketapang Harbour, followed by a transfer to your accommodation for an overnight stay. This part of the trip will give you a glimpse of Indonesia’s diverse landscapes and a more authentic side of the region.

On the second day, your adventure begins at night. Around midnight, you will head towards Paltuding base camp, where your trek to the Ijen Crater begins. Under a sky full of stars, you will witness the extraordinary Blue Flame – a rare natural phenomenon where electric-blue flames emerge from the volcano, creating an almost surreal atmosphere.

As you reach the crater rim, you will enjoy a spectacular sunrise and panoramic views of the turquoise sulphur lake surrounded by dramatic volcanic scenery. This is a truly memorable moment that highlights the raw beauty of nature. The trek takes place with a guide, who will share interesting insights about the volcano and its surroundings.

After the hike, you will return to the base camp to enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant. Then, you will begin your journey back to Bali – transfer to Ketapang Harbour, ferry crossing to Gilimanuk, and finally a transfer to your hotel.

The order of visits and the programme may change.
