Program Description
Discover the extraordinary world of Iceland’s volcanoes on an adventure to the Reykjanes Peninsula, one of the most geologically active regions in Europe. After departing from Reykjavík, you will travel to the area where a series of spectacular volcanic eruptions have taken place in recent years. During the tour, you will explore the surroundings of Fagradalsfjall, Meradalir and the Geldingadalur Valley, where vast lava fields and dramatic volcanic landscapes reveal the island’s ever-changing nature.

Weather and safety permitting, you will also visit areas affected by the December 2023 Sundhnúkur eruption and learn about the volcanic activity around Litli Hrútur.
