Program Description
Leave the streets of Budapest behind for a day and head to where the urban landscape gives way to water, greenery and a slower pace. Lake Balaton - the largest freshwater lake in Central Europe - will take centre stage on this full-day tour, which also introduces you to two distinctive destinations along its shores.
Your first stop will be Tihany, where you'll see its famous abbey overlooking the surrounding landscape. Next, you'll continue to Balatonfüred, the oldest spa resort in Hungary. Take a stroll along its popular promenade, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy some free time, which you can spend having lunch or exploring the area at your own pace.
Later, swap the lakeshore for the water itself. During a one-hour cruise on Lake Balaton, relax on board and admire the surrounding scenery from a completely different perspective. After a day among the lakeside landscapes, you'll return to Budapest, where the tour ends in the city centre.
