Program Description

Set off on a journey across Cyprus, where history and modern life intertwine at every step. This tour offers a different perspective on the island, combining its rich heritage with places that reflect its more recent past.

You will begin by crossing the checkpoint in Dherynia, a location that still bears traces of the island’s division since 1974. From there, you will travel to picturesque Kyrenia, one of the most charming towns in the northern part of Cyprus.

Your first stop will be the remarkable Bellapais Abbey – a 13th-century Gothic monastery set on a hillside. The site impresses not only with its architecture but also with panoramic views over the coastline.

Next, you will visit the historic Kyrenia Harbour, which for centuries played an important role as a trading port. Today, it is a lively area filled with cafés, fishing boats and traditional buildings. You will have free time to walk along the waterfront or simply enjoy the seaside atmosphere.

The tour continues to Nicosia, the last divided capital in Europe. Crossing via Ledra Street is a unique experience that allows you to see both sides of the city. You will also visit Phaneromeni Church, one of the most important religious landmarks on the island.

At the end of the tour, you will have free time in the old town, where Venetian walls, narrow streets and local shops create a distinctive blend of past and present.

The order of visits and the programme may be subject to change.

A fantastic tour; the knowledge and dedication of the Polish guide duo, Ida and Cypriot Kristopodolus, are immense. The tour was wonderfully conducted, with detailed historical information and a great atmosphere. There wasn`t a dull moment. Fourth time in Cyprus, many optional excursions, but this one was definitely the best, as was the Ida & Kristopodolus duo. Thank you so much, and best regards to the Polish-Cypriot travel duo :)
