Program Description
Discover some of the most spectacular natural highlights of São Miguel on a tour full of contrasts - from lush green valleys to dramatic volcanic scenery. It’s a perfect way to experience the raw beauty of the Azores.
The tour begins with a transfer to Fajã de Baixo, where you will visit the famous pineapple plantations and learn about local cultivation methods. Next, you will stop at the Vista do Rei viewpoint, offering one of the most iconic panoramas in the Azores - the breathtaking view over Sete Cidades, with its twin lakes in shades of green and blue. The route then descends into the crater, allowing you to admire these unique landscapes up close. The journey continues towards Lagoa do Carvão, followed by a lunch stop at a local restaurant. After lunch, there will be a short stop in Ribeira Grande, before heading towards one of the island’s most untouched natural areas - Lagoa do Fogo. On the way, you will visit Caldeira Velha, known for its warm springs and lush vegetation. Finally, you will reach the viewpoint overlooking Lagoa do Fogo, located at around 900 metres above sea level - a place where nature remains truly wild and unspoiled.
