Program Description
Rise above Innsbruck and see the city and surrounding mountains from one of its most spectacular viewpoints. The cable car journey to Hafelekar, located at around 2,300 metres above sea level, takes you from the urban landscape into the heart of the Alps in just a short time.
Your journey begins at Altstadt Station, where a convenient cable car connection takes you steadily higher above Innsbruck. Along the way, enjoy changing scenery, mountain slopes and sweeping panoramic views.
The higher you climb, the more impressive the landscape becomes. One of the highlights is the Karwendel Mountains, part of Austria’s largest nature park. If you are lucky, you may even spot some of the local wildlife living in this alpine environment.
At the top, you will reach the Top of Innsbruck, where you can admire the city and its mountain surroundings from an altitude of around 2,300 metres. It is an ideal place to take photos, enjoy the open space and simply take in the Alpine scenery.
